Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HSW Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSW management systems and strategies in alignment with PROJECT’s sustainability goals.
- Establish and maintain HSW objectives, policies, and procedures to achieve a zero-harm workplace.
- Compliance and Regulations:
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian regulatory requirements, international HSW standards, and PROJECT-specific guidelines.
- Liaise with government bodies, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain regulatory adherence.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and impact analysis for all project phases.
- Implement robust risk control measures and emergency response plans.
- Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver HSW training programs to employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Promote a strong HSW culture through workshops, safety campaigns, and leadership engagement.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to HSW protocols.
- Prepare and submit detailed HSW performance reports, incident investigations, and corrective action plans.
- Incident Management:
- Lead investigations into accidents, near-misses, and safety breaches.
- Ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the HSW team to achieve operational excellence.
- Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure collaboration on HSW matters.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, CSP, CHMM) or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in HSW management, preferably on construction or infrastructure projects. Experience in marine space will be preferred.
- Prior experience in the Middle East or similar projects (smart cities, mega developments) is a strong advantage.
- Experience in marine construction projects, coral relocation or any diving activities is a strong advantage.
- Deep knowledge of HSW regulations, risk management, and international standards. ISO 45001
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HSW software tools and reporting platforms.
- Passion for safety and environmental stewardship.
- Ability to work in multicultural and high-pressure environments.
- Innovative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Comfortable spending extended hours on-site and aboard a boat
- Located or willing to locate to KSA at short notice or available immediately is a must.
