We are looking for a Logistics & Operations Lead to join the Autobia team. This role leads our inbound and outbound logistics across all fulfillment centers, ensuring the on-time collection of purchase orders from suppliers and the on-time delivery of orders to customers. Leading two teams through their respective supervisors and overseeing the company's fleet assets, the role owns day-to-day logistics performance, external transport relationships, and operational risk mitigation.
Beyond logistics, this role acts as a key deputy within the operations function — supporting the Operations Manager on daily issues, stepping in as Operations Manager in their absence, and representing Autobia in government transactions related to the operations department.
Location: Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Leadership
- Lead and oversee end-to-end inbound and outbound logistics operations across Autobia's fulfillment centers.
- Lead two teams through their supervisors — setting direction, priorities, and performance standards, and developing supervisor and team capability.
- Ensure on-time collection of purchase orders from suppliers and on-time delivery of orders to customers.
- Ensure customer deliveries are triggered, tracked, and recorded on time and accurately within the system.
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including shipping companies, third-party carriers, and transport providers.
- Monitor logistics SLAs, and resolve or escalate performance gaps when necessary.
Risk, Damage & Vendor Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate inbound and outbound logistics risks — delivery delays, capacity constraints, supplier collection failures, and fleet availability.
- Reduce in-transit damages and losses through better carrier selection, handling standards, and packaging/loading practices.
- Source and onboard stronger logistics partners, and negotiate improved contracting terms (pricing, SLAs, liability, and damage accountability) with shipping and transport companies.
- Continuously evaluate carrier performance and rebalance volume toward the best-performing, lowest-risk providers.
Fleet Asset Management
- Manage fleet assets across their full lifecycle, including vehicle utilization, maintenance scheduling, regulatory compliance, and cost control.
- Plan and execute proper fleet phase-out and phase-in, ensuring continuity of capacity and optimal total cost of ownership.
Technology & Optimization
- Improve vehicle routing to lower cost, distance, and delivery times across inbound and outbound flows.
- Increase load capacity utilization per trip to reduce the number of trips and overall logistics cost.
- Reduce total inbound and outbound logistics cost through route, capacity, and consolidation improvements.
- Leverage technology and data to enhance visibility, on-time delivery triggering, and accurate recording of logistics events.
Operations Support & Deputization
- Support the Operations Manager in resolving daily operational issues across fulfillment and logistics.
- Act as the Operations Manager in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and decision-making.
- Represent Autobia in all government transactions related to the operations department.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with procurement, sales, and fulfillment teams to align logistics with broader operational priorities.
Performance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain and update operational and logistics performance dashboards, reports, and KPI trackers.
- Collect, validate, and analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare weekly and monthly operational performance reports for management.
- Document and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process maps for logistics and operations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational audits to ensure adherence to company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations, including experience leading teams through supervisors or team leads.
- Proven experience managing inbound/outbound logistics and fleet operations.
- Familiarity with Saudi government and regulatory transactions related to logistics and operations is strongly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Metabase) is an advantage.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Arabic and English proficiency — Arabic required for government transactions.
- Valid Saudi driving license preferred (for fleet oversight).
