Job Summary
BioSapien is a preclinical biotechnology company pioneering minimally invasive drug delivery platforms. By delivering treatment directly to the source, we aim to reduce the side effects of cancer therapies, decrease the need for frequent hospital visits, and significantly improve the quality of life for patients.
As a Business Analyst at BioSapien, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between scientific innovation and business strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include analyzing market trends, evaluating competitive landscapes, and providing data-driven insights to support decision making for product development, funding, and expansion strategies. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, finance, marketing, and regulatory affairs, to ensure that business initiatives are aligned with the company's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, and competitive threats within the biotech industry.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and business cases to support new product development and commercialization strategies.
- Analyze industry data and regulatory changes to assess their potential impact on business operations and product strategy.
- Create and present reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to leadership.
- Support the fundraising process by providing data and insights for investor presentations, funding applications, and due diligence efforts.
- Evaluate strategic partnership opportunities through financial and operational assessments.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of the biotech and life sciences industry, including key regulatory frameworks.
- Expertise in data analysis, market research, and financial modeling.
- Ability to translate complex scientific and technical data into business insights.
- Ability to tailor complex scientific and technical data for varied audiences (Investor, Scientist, Public, Hospital, etc).
- Strong communication and presentation skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting to stakeholders.
- Consistently engage with teams through Zoom and other remote collaboration platforms, often across time zones.
- Strong familiarity with Google and/or Microsoft Workspaces (Google preferred).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing requirements in a dynamic environment.
- Discipline to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of markets in the USA and UAE.
- Background in life sciences.
