Job profile
Capcade’s product development team is growing, and we’re looking for a QA Engineer who wants to make an impact. You’ll be part of a self-organized agile team building a FinTech product that is transforming how financial transactions are sourced, negotiated, and executed. Here, you’ll have the freedom to influence every stage of development - from idea to delivery. Since the product is fully owned by our team, we choose the technologies and approaches that best fit its needs. Your ideas, skills, and decisions won’t just be heard - they will shape both the product and the company. We believe in a flat team structure with no middle management, direct and transparent communication, and close collaboration with our in-house product management team - so you can focus on building great software without unnecessary overhead.
Duties and responsibilities
As a QA Engineer, you will take ownership of quality across the entire development lifecycle - from early requirements to final delivery. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Test design & execution: review requirements, specifications, and technical designs to provide meaningful feedback; create and maintain structured test plans and cases; perform exploratory, regression, and cross-browser testing
- Automation: design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools; maintain and improve test frameworks
- Defect management: identify, track, and clearly document issues; monitor quality metrics such as defect density and open defect counts
- Collaboration & process improvement: work closely with developers and product managers to ensure high-quality delivery; contribute to refining QA processes; stay up to date with testing tools, frameworks, and strategies
Requirements and qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in software development or QA
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks/tools (JUnit, TestNG, Selenium, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of Java, TestNG, Maven
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus
- Good communication, writing and speaking skills in English
- Minimum 4-hour overlap with CET business hours, specifically between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM CET
