ClearQuote is a computer vision startup that builds AI-powered vehicle inspection solutions. The product uses computer vision on images/videos to automatically detect vehicle damage, generate condition reports and repair estimates, and track damage history over time. Customers in India, UK, EU, US, powering ~3mn vehicle inspections every month.
Role: Computer-Vision / AI Engineer
What you will do
- Train and deploy models for object detection, image segmentation, classification, and tracking.
- Prepare dataset annotations workflow including preprocessing, augmentation, annotation support, and quality checks.
- Work with existing machine learning pipelines: testing, benchmarking, debugging, and iterative improvements.
- Run experiments on models (YOLO, Mask R-CNN, segmentation networks, Detectron2, ViT models, etc.) and document findings.
- Optimize and integrate models for real-time inference — including video analysis, frame-by-frame panel/damage detection.
- Stay updated with state-of-the-art computer-vision methods (object detection, segmentation, tracking, video processing, visual-language models, OCR, etc.), evaluate/bench new techniques, and drive innovation.
- Ensure high code quality, enforce standards: clean, maintainable, documented code, tests, and reproducibility.
Requirements
- B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech or comparable degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI/ML, Robotics, or related field.
- Ideally 4+ years proven experience in AI/ML with emphasis on Python and Computer Vision
- Strong programming skills in Python and deep-learning frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Experience in classical image processing (OpenCV, NumPy) plus deep learning-based CV (CNNs, segmentation, detection, tracking).
- Hands-on experience with object detection frameworks (e.g. YOLO), segmentation networks (e.g. UNet, Mask R-CNN), tracking pipelines (e.g. Deep SORT) or equivalent.
- Good problem-solving skills, curiosity, and willingness to learn and iterate with ability to write clean, readable, and modular code.
- Hands on proficiency with cloud infrastructure and services (AWS, GCP, Azure) for training, and monitoring.
- Proficient in containerization, Docker, Git; comfort working in Linux/GPU environments; experience in deploying models to cloud or edge.
- Good communication skills to collaborate across teams (backend, product, operations) and mentor other engineers.
