ClearQuote is a fast-growing AI-powered vehicle inspection platform for major automotive and logistics clients including Maruti, Mahindra, Amazon delivery partners, Hertz247, GXO, and bpost.
Operating with customers across India, UK, EU, and US markets, we have seen significant growth in customers and team during the last 12 months. Team based in India (~60 currently) and fully remote. 200+ customers across markets.
Role Objective
Manage end to end finance and accounts function for this fast growing vertical SaaS / AI software company serving customers across UK, EU, and expanding to the US market. Support business and profit growth during 2026 and beyond.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Accounting and compliance
- Ensuring invoices are generated in a timely manner and customers followed up with for payments
- Ensuring expenses are accounted and paid for in a timely manner incl. Intercompany transactions
- Ensuring books are up to date (Xero) for legal entities in US, UK
- Track sales staff and channel partner incentives and payouts
- Maintain and implement cadence for accounting and tax compliance across the entities (tax filing, VAT filing, external audits if required).
- Planning
- Short term Cashflow planning
- Planning cashflows and transfers at the least possible cost to ensure funds are available in CQ India and other entities as required
- Funding
- Evaluating options and supporting raising revenue based financing during 2026 to accelerate business growth
- Product pricing
- Supporting product pricing and commercial proposals for SMB, enterprise clients in UK/EU/US
- Staff incentives
- Structuring a flexible, tax efficient and pro-employee ESOP scheme (2026) and implementing the same for staff in India
- Capital structure
- Revising overall capital structure of CQ entities to make it suitably packaged for long term investors to invest in CQ
- Business planning, MIS, reporting support
- Consolidated statements
- Maintain cadence and generate consolidated statements incl. CQ India (excl. Interco transactions) to show true profitability of the business on a monthly basis
- Tracking progress against annual / quarterly plans
- Process
- Implement automation to handle growth in customer base (invoicing, payment reconciliation) and employee count (payroll)
- Support implementation of subscription management software (Chargebee/Stripebilling) to automate invoicing and payments for SMB customers in UK, EU and US
- Evaluate and support implementation of the most customer friendly and cost efficient payments process (direct debit, cards, payment gateway etc.)
- Implement adhoc processes to make expense reporting more efficient
Requirements
- Proven accounting and finance experience (4+ years preferably in a SaaS/tech product business) with customers across markets. Should have handled accounting and finance for entities in UK or US
- Proficient in using Xero, QB or other accounting softwares, advanced excel
- Ability to learn on the job and deliver
