About the role
As Head of Credit, you will design and maintain robust credit policies, manage Dayra’s underwriting and approval processes, proactively monitor portfolio risk, and ensure regulatory compliance. Your leadership directly enables responsible, scalable customer financing.
Key Responsibilities
Design and maintain Dayra’s credit risk policies, underwriting standards, and product-specific lending criteria.
Lead all credit assessment and approval processes, ensuring they are fair, robust, and compliant with regulations.
Monitor the credit portfolio’s performance and risk exposure, taking early action to manage underperforming segments.
Establish regular credit review processes and early-warning systems to detect and mitigate potential defaults.
Oversee collections efforts by supporting cross-functional collaboration and optimizing recovery strategies.
Partner with data and tech teams to improve credit scoring models and continuously enhance decision-making.
Ensure credit operations align with internal policies and meet all regulatory requirements from the FRA and other bodies.
Prepare and present regular credit performance reports, portfolio analyses, and loss data to senior leadership and regulators.
Represent Dayra in all credit-related matters with regulators, auditors, investors, and strategic partners.
Who We’re Looking For
Minimum 7 years of experience in credit or a related field within a financial institution, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
Strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting, and portfolio management practices.
Proven leadership, with excellent analytical and communication skills.
Full-time commitment required; no parallel executive or advisory roles permitted.
