About the Role

As Dayra’s Head of Risk, you will lead the development and implementation of a practical, forward-looking risk management framework. Your role will focus on identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across all areas of the business, while supporting a culture of sound risk awareness and decision-making. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and help Dayra grow in a controlled and sustainable manner.

  • Reports to: CEO

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework covering credit, market, operational, liquidity, and compliance risks.

  • Conduct systematic risk identification, assessment, and prioritization across all business units, products, and technologies.

  • Design and oversee the implementation of risk mitigation strategies, monitoring control effectiveness, and updating them regularly.

  • Prepare and deliver risk dashboards and reports to senior management and the board, highlighting key exposures, trends, and emerging threats.

  • Draft, maintain, and enforce comprehensive risk management policies and procedures in line with regulatory and industry standards.

  • Lead or coordinate investigations into risk incidents or losses, conduct root-cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans.

  • Promote a strong risk culture through training, awareness campaigns, and cross-functional support initiatives.

  • Partner with product, engineering, operations, and finance teams to embed risk considerations into core processes and strategic decisions.

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including those issued by the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and the Central Bank of Egypt.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk, credit, or strategic planning within a financial institution, with a track record of supervisory responsibility.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or a related field from an accredited institution; relevant certifications preferred.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and local regulatory requirements.

  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Full-time independent commitment required; no parallel roles permitted.
