The Senior Instructional Designer is responsible for leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of high-quality, engaging learning solutions across various platforms. This role ensures that all instructional materials are pedagogically sound, aligned with organizational objectives, and optimized for diverse learner audiences. The Senior Instructional Designer will mentor junior instructional designers, manage strategic educational projects, and collaborate cross-functionally to support the organization's mission and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the full instructional design lifecycle for major educational initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices and organizational objectives.
- Design and develop innovative e-learning content, virtual learning experiences, instructor-led training materials, and blended learning programs.
- Conduct thorough learning needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and recommend targeted interventions for improvement.
- Redesign existing training programs for digital and distance learning formats, ensuring academic rigor and relevance.
- Create comprehensive assessment tools (e.g., quizzes, case studies, simulations) to evaluate learner progress and measure course effectiveness.
- Produce high-quality instructional materials, including storyboards, scripts, instructional graphics, and user interfaces.
- Review recorded training sessions and provide actionable feedback for enhancements and improvements.
- Establish and uphold instructional design standards, ensuring consistency and quality across all learning deliverables.
- Contribute to proposal development by providing expertise in educational design and creating compelling educational content.
- Mentor junior instructional designers, offering guidance on instructional design methodologies, best practices, and technologies.
- Continuously research and apply emerging instructional technologies, trends, and methodologies to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning, or educational development.
- Proven experience in leading projects and mentoring teams.
- Expertise in LMS, SCORM, and instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Agile).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong project management skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in both Arabic and English.
