What You'll Do

As a Test Technician, you will own the functional validation of our power systems and energy equipment before they reach the customer. This is a critical, high-visibility role where your ability to identify failures fast and communicate findings clearly directly affects our ability to ship on time and at the quality our customers depend on. You will work side-by-side with engineering and assembly teams in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment where your expertise keeps us moving.

Where You'll Work

This role will be based in our Houston MV Facility office. You must be willing to work in the office full-time.

We're onsite because velocity matters when you're building physical infrastructure. Solving complex problems in real-time with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Finance leaders is how we move faster than a slow, antiquated industry.

Responsibilities

  • Execute functional and performance tests on energy systems and power electronics per defined test procedures
  • Set up and operate test equipment including power supplies, load banks, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and data acquisition systems
  • Record, analyze, and document test data and results accurately in test logs and tracking systems
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate failures or out-of-spec results to engineering with clear, actionable documentation
  • Perform hi-pot, insulation resistance, continuity, and functional verification testing
  • Support root cause analysis and failure investigation on non-conforming units
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment and fixtures to ensure measurement integrity
  • Partner with assembly and QC teams to drive first-pass yield improvement
  • Flexibility and willingness to help do different tasks in the shop as we are a growing companyWillingness to be flexible and assist with diverse tasks within the shop environment as the company expands..

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in product testing, functional verification, or electrical troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated proficiency operating standard test and measurement equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and test procedures
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to document findings clearly
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Mechanically inclined to work with hand toolsProficiency in using hand tools for mechanical tasks.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with power electronics, energy storage, or electrical power systems
  • Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or a related technical field
  • Familiarity with data logging tools and test management systems
  • Prior experience in a high-growth startup or fast-paced manufacturing environment
