We are looking for a DevOps and Cloud Network Engineer to join a small, ambitious team working to build innovative and secure healthcare applications. As an expanding healthtech startup at Hub71 in Abu Dhabi, we are redefining primary healthcare delivery through cutting-edge technology.
Who You Are:You are a versatile engineer with experience in both DevOps and cloud network management. You have a strong background in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure, and ensuring the security, scalability, and reliability of critical applications and networks. You are skilled in managing network components, such as SD-WAN, firewalls, and VPNs, and are comfortable working in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Develop and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, Ansible).
- Set up and manage Azure Firewall policies to control inbound and outbound traffic, ensuring secure internet access for applications and employees.
- Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, network security groups (NSGs), VPN gateways, SD-WAN connections, and ExpressRoute circuits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC-2) through secure configurations, automated security controls, and best practices.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment efficiency, implement advanced deployment strategies (e.g., Blue-Green Deployments, Canary Releases), and support cloud-based applications.
- Utilize cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) to manage and optimize services for performance, scalability, and cost.
- Monitor and maintain applications, infrastructure, and network performance using tools like Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel, Prometheus, Datadog, or ELK stack.
- Automate network and infrastructure configurations, policies, and security practices using IaC and scripting tools.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, network configurations, processes, and security practices.
- Be proactive in identifying and resolving network performance issues, infrastructure bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
- You are excited about the opportunity to shape the DevOps culture, infrastructure strategy, and network security posture of a growing healthtech startup.
What We're Looking For: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps and cloud network engineering, with a focus on Azure or other major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of cloud networking concepts (e.g., VNets, subnets, network security groups, VPNs, ExpressRoute) and experience with network management tools.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible) and practices (CI/CD, infrastructure as code).
- Experience managing network security components, such as Azure Firewall, load balancers, and web application firewalls (WAF).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and SIEM solutions (e.g., Azure Monitor, Azure Sentinel) for network and infrastructure performance and security.
- Understanding of security frameworks and regulatory compliance (e.g., HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC-2).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications: - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CCNA, CISSP).
- Experience in highly regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, finance).
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with package management tools (e.g., Artifactory, Azure Artifacts, Nexus) and advanced deployment strategies.
