Overview
We are seeking a Digital Arts Track Instructor responsible for delivering engaging, hands-on sessions that introduce students to the fundamentals of digital design, animation, video editing, and 3D content creation. The instructor will guide students through practical creative workflows using industry-relevant tools such as Photopea, Figma, Canva, Inkscape, CapCut, Blender, and Unity.
The role focuses on helping students understand core visual design principles, animation fundamentals, and digital media production while encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and project-based learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured sessions covering digital design, animation, video editing, and 3D modeling fundamentals.
- Teach students how to use digital creative tools including Photopea, Figma, Canva, Inkscape, CapCut, Blender, and Unity.
- Guide students through hands-on projects such as designing logos, creating vector illustrations, producing short videos, and building simple 3D models.
- Introduce design principles including shape composition, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Teach students how to break complex drawings into simple geometric shapes and design creative visual assets.
- Explain core 2D animation concepts including animation basics, character joints, and shape-based animation techniques.
- Demonstrate how animation is used in games, cartoons, and digital media.
- Teach the fundamentals of video editing including trimming clips, arranging timelines, adding text overlays, and adjusting basic audio.
- Introduce students to 3D modeling concepts using Blender, including navigating the interface and creating simple low‑poly models.
- Explain the differences between Eevee and Cycles render engines and guide students in exporting visual outputs.
- Guide students in importing assets into Unity and organizing them for basic game development workflows.
- Mentor students during exercises and projects while encouraging creativity and experimentation.
- Strong understanding of digital design fundamentals, including composition, layout, and visual storytelling.
- Practical experience with digital creative tools, such as Photopea, Figma, Canva, Inkscape, CapCut, Blender, and Unity.
- Knowledge of vector illustration and digital design workflows.
- Understanding of 2D animation fundamentals, including shape-based animation and character joints.
- Basic knowledge of video editing, including timeline management, trimming clips, adding text overlays, and basic audio adjustments.
- Familiarity with 3D modeling concepts in Blender, including creating simple low-poly models.
