Job Description:
iSchool is seeking a creative and passionate Content Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of coding education by developing engaging and effective learning materials for our online platform. A Junior Content Developer will be responsible for designing and developing educational materials tailored to K-12 learners. They will work under the guidance of team leaders or senior team members to create lesson plans, teacher guides, student materials, projects, quizzes, and in supporting resources for various iSchool programs including the Camps, and School Collaborations, if needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create engaging and interactive content related to coding for our online coding platform.
- Create plans and outlines for programming courses in different levels.
- Develop lessons, projects, Presentations, guides Students materials and assessments that align with our curriculum and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with instructors to ensure content accuracy and alignment with best practices in coding education.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in content development, preferably technical content development.
- Intermediate understanding of programming concepts
- Familiarity with K-12 pedagogy and child psychology.
- Strong writing and formatting skills for educational content.
- Proficiency with content creation tools: Google Docs or Word, Google Slides or Powerpoint. Plus points for Notion.
- Understanding of curriculum mapping and learning outcomes.
- Basic research and fact-checking abilities.
- Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
- Familiarity with instructional design concepts.
- Attention to detail with ability to work in a team and accept feedback.
- Strong communication and time-management.
- Creativity in lesson design and storytelling.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- Experience with Responsive Design (Flexbox, Grid, Media Queries)
- Familiarity with Bootstrap
- Solid understanding of DOM, Events, and Web Storage
- Strong experience with Node.js & Express.js
- Building RESTful APIs
- Middleware & routing
- MongoDB & Mongoose
- Error handling & async programming
