Why this role matters
As we scale from $100m to $1b in assets under management and launch crypto-driven initiatives, we are expanding our product engineering team with a Fullstack / Solution Architect. This is a pivotal role — you will own architecture decisions across backend and frontend, ensuring Kilde delivers seamless, trustworthy, engaging experiences that empower investors to achieve their goals.
Key responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Define and own the technical architecture for Kilde’s platform — backend services, frontend apps, APIs, integrations, and data flows.
- Ensure scalability, security, and compliance in a regulated fintech environment.
- Translate business and product requirements into robust, future-proof technical solutions.
Fullstack Engineering
- Build and maintain high-quality, performant features across Java/Spring Boot backends and React.js/React Native frontends.
- Mentor engineers across the stack to ensure consistency, maintainability, and adherence to Kilde’s design principles and best technical solutions, including automated pipelines and tests.
- Optimise user journeys end-to-end, from backend logic to intuitive UI delivery on secure, robust and reliable building blocks.
- Experience with microservice architecture, supported by containerization and willingness to code with AI, as of today, Claude preferably.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with Kilde’s growth roadmap..
- Optimise the platform for scalability as we expand from hundreds of millions to billions in transaction volume while maintaining simplicity.
- Guide teams through trade-offs in performance, usability, and scalability.
- Foster a culture of clean and documented code, strong testing practices, and continuous improvement.
- Be ready to switch between React.js and React Native when bringing a native mobile app to life.
Quality & Reliability
- Write clean, testable code with strong unit and integration coverage. Followed up with test cases in BrowserStack.
- Partner with QA and DevOps to ensure smooth releases across web and mobile.
- Stay current with modern engineering practices, proactively introducing improvements.
What you bring
- 10+ years of development experience (React, Next.js, or similar modern frameworks). A good eye for design, usability, and responsive layouts.
- Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, but also knowledge of Java, experience with Sprinboot is a plus. Showcase your extra mile on becoming a fullstack developer (can be personal projects or past work experience)
- Proven track record in solution architecture, designing scalable, secure systems in fintech, SaaS, or other regulated industries.
- Experience integrating APIs, optimising performance, and handling security in fintech or regulated environments is a plus. Experience within the crypto space is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
