We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team in the MENA region. As a Staff SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and high performance of our open banking systems through functional and non-functional testing.

Your duties will include creating and executing test plans, contributing to our in-house automation framework, infrastructure, tools, analyzing test results, and communicating with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. As a key member of the team, you will be tasked with analyzing test results meticulously, identifying potential issues, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders to guarantee the delivery of high-quality and resilient products. In addition, you will be mentoring and guiding other members of the team.


This role requires extensive coding expertise and quality assurance experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement API and UI automation solutions for open banking platforms.

  • Mentoring and guiding other members of the team.

  • Lead design, and implementation of automation frameworks.

  • Work closely with all stakeholders to understand the complete context of deliveries and translate complex functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Ensure all Quality Guideline requirements are understood by the team and met during the development cycle.

  • Identify and recommend improvements to the open banking systems to optimize performance and scalability.

  • Showing strong initiative towards exploring new ideas and methodologies in the field of software testing.

  • Frequently evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure testability and offer constructive feedback to engineers on improving code quality.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field

  • At least 8 years of experience in the testing domain, with a focus on automation.

  • Proven experience as an automation engineer or an SDET with a track record of building and maintaining scalable and reliable test frameworks.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Javascript, typescript and python.

  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g WebdriverIO, Selenium or a similar tool)

  • A passion for testing and a willingness to bring new ideas. Along with the ability to work independently.

  • Analyze test results and collaborate with development teams to optimize testing practices.

  • Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying potential performance issues.

  • Should have experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of Grafana, Kibana and Performance testing is an added advantage.
