About the Job

We are seeking an ambitious, outcome-driven Business Development intern to play a key role in further growing Lean's business in KSA. Working closely with our Country Manager, you will have the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial activities. Lean enables companies to seamlessly connect to their users’’ bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve their account information. Our products have garnered the trust of leading companies and enabled them to deliver powerful experiences when connected with a user’s bank account, allowing users to perform prudent financial planning, get better rates on loans, transfer money to friends, and more, without compromising on privacy or security.

Some of Lean’s clients include the likes of Tabby, Nayifat, Tamam, Circlys, and many more, making it the region’s most valuable Open Banking platform. The company has now processed over a billion dollars, and its products are also connected with hundreds of thousands of accounts. Lean envisions a fully inclusive financial ecosystem that serves everyone, no matter where they bank or live in the MENA region.


  • Conduct market research, market mapping, and analysis to identify potential clients and partnership opportunities in the open banking industry in KSA

  • Provide support to the business development team; Build new use cases with the team; test client applications; provide data points for reporting purposes; content translations and additional marketing support.

  • Support the team in preparing and delivering presentations and RFQ docs for clients and partners

  • Maintain and update the sales CRM with relevant information on potential clients and partners

  • Work with commercial operations to assess the KSA sales processes and improve the current setup related to marketing and sales coordination

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing or Finance

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent English language skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience within a startup environment

  • Familiarity with the Fintech ecosystem in KSA
