About the Job
At Lean, we are dedicated to making account-to-account payments and financial data sharing safe and intuitive for millions of users across MENA. As we expand our product offerings, we are committed to designing exceptional experiences that place our users at the centre of everything we do.
We are seeking a Mid-level Product Designer to join our Product Design team. In this role, you will help shape our customers' digital products powered by Open Banking and support brand and visual communication projects integral to our products. Your work will directly impact how our users interact with hundreds of digital fintech experiences.
We're looking for someone with a strong visual sense, a trained eye for small details and systems thinking mindset. Along with your broad design skills you’re capable of creating thoughtful user journeys, delightful interactions as well as intuitive product visualisations.
Who are we
Lean enables companies to seamlessly connect to their users’ bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve their account information. Our products have garnered the trust of leading companies and enabled them to deliver powerful experiences when connected with a user’s bank account, allowing users to perform prudent financial planning, get better rates on loans, transfer money to friends, and more, without compromising on privacy or security.
Some of Lean’s clients include the likes of Binance, Etisalat Group, Careem, Sarwa, and many more, making it the region’s most valuable Open Banking platform. The company has now processed hundreds of millions of dollars, and its products are also connected with hundreds of thousands of accounts. Lean envisions a fully inclusive financial ecosystem that serves everyone, no matter where they bank or live in the MENAP region.
Responsibilities
Work with our clients and product teams to design end-to-end product experiences and develop new product lines and features.
Work side by side with our frontend team to handoff and build the best in class user experience using our Design System.
Bridge the gaps between our Product and Commercial teams to unify all the visual aspects of the Lean Experience. From our product interfaces to the product marketing resources and technical guides sent to clients
Support our visual identity projects by documenting future updates and advocating for good branding standards across the company.
Develop the visual assets we’ll share across our channels - from internal to public; from static to interactive; from intuitive abstractions of our API flows to sleek portfolio-worthy product features.
Work with Product Marketing, Commercial, and our Client Operations teams to visualise rather complex technical and abstract concepts into elegant and scalable reusable graphic resources.
Collaborate with our customers to review and optimise their implementations of Lean within their products to maximise adoption, conversion and retention by strategically following our Design Best Practices.
Become an evangelist of our Design Principles and Best Practices inside Lean and with our clients.
Who you are
You see Design as a discipline that can extend beyond just an artwork or an interface. Your craft shows an intuitive and intentional use of Design fundamentals such as typography, scale, balance, space & colours and grid systems.
You’re comfortable working within an agile and iterative Design workflow. You feel comfortable mapping user journeys, and prototyping diverse levels of fidelity.
Your work shows elegant and powerful visual communication skills and thoughtful consistency over flair.
You’re familiar with design systems and its relationship with brand style guidelines.
You’re proficient with design tools and you’re constantly exploring new tools and technologies. You work from the bottom line to the hidden tricks and shortcuts that boost the quality and optimise time-to-outcomes (Our stack is Notion, Figma, InDesign, Mixpanel and Pitch. Sometimes we also code and design animations).
You care about elite communication. Both written, visual and spoken makes decisions easier, and keeps everyone informed. You can easily Design with words as good as with pixels.
You embrace feedback as an opportunity to deliver your best work and a world-class experience to our customers.
You aim to be self-sufficient, prioritising your own research and asynchronous communication through documentation, and threads before requiring assistance from the team.
You’re passionate about technology and financial products and trends across the world. The products we build are used by millions of people in multiple markets.
NB. While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply!!
