We’re looking for an Executive Assistant to support our CEO. With frequent travel across our Riyadh, Dubai and London office locations, this role would support him in day-to-day tasks, both business and personal, ensuring his tight schedule his maintained and optimised. This role is office-based, with a preference of Dubai or Riyadh, but we're open to considering applicants for any of our office locations.

About the job

We’ve grown from a team of 18 to 90+, fuelled by rapid commercial growth and international expansion. As such, our CEO is in need of full administrative support to ensure he is as effective as possible in the way he works.

You will have the opportunity to very much mold this role into your own from the outset, thus becoming an integral part of this fast-growing fintech startup and its success. No two days will be the same and the variety of requests and responsibilities make this role ideal for someone looking to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. To excel in this role, we’re looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable, dealing with potentially challenging and ever-changing situations. Due to the nature of our CEO’s schedule, out of office hours are expected, but this is complemented by flexibility in working locations and a flexible time off policy.

Lean enables companies to seamlessly connect to their users’ bank accounts to initiate real-time payments and retrieve their account information. Our products have garnered the trust of leading companies and enabled them to deliver powerful experiences when connected with a user’s bank account, allowing users to perform prudent financial planning, get better rates on loans, transfer money to friends, and more, without compromising on privacy or security.

Some of Lean’s clients include the likes of Binance, Etisalat Group, Careem, Sarwa, and many more, making it the region’s most valuable Open Banking platform. The company has now processed hundreds of millions of dollars, and its products are also connected with hundreds of thousands of accounts. Lean envisions a fully inclusive financial ecosystem that serves everyone, no matter where they bank or live in the MENAP region.

Responsibilities

  • Diary management - scheduling meetings and calls, dealing with diary conflicts, making reservations, dealing with event invites and taking full ownership of the CEO’s diary and its smooth-running

  • Travel management - booking accommodation, flights, transfers and any other travel requirements for any trips the CEO has (business or personal), making sure everything is done in the most cost-effective way possible, and ensuring that arrangements are accurately portrayed in the diary and to colleagues on a need to know basis

  • Ad hoc personal tasks - including but not limited to the CEO’s household staff, family, events, planning and management of multiple properties across numerous countries

  • Creating and maintaining various databases and spreadsheets to track and organize data (e.g. contacts, spending etc)

  • Working closely with the Chief of Staff, you will have a key role in obtaining context from internal stakeholders and be able to present that information concisely such as meeting notes, internal processes & announcements. You’ll have to be comfortable engaging with senior managers independently to do this and act as a trusted advisor to our CEO.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years experience working in a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant role

  • Experience working in a startup environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, communicating with professionalism, tact and ease to all parties

  • Strong organization and attention to detail

  • Tech savvy (e.g. G-Suite, Mac OS etc)

  • Proactive self-starter, managing your workload autonomously with confidence

  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask with ease, and manage your time effectively

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, including critical thinking, decision-making, and creativity

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge of fintechs
