About the role

We’re looking for a VP of Product - Lean Lend and Credit Decisioning to help shape our products for all types of lenders and help them transform how they do credit decisioning and lending in the region. This role will lead the product direction for Lean Lend, a new business line serving lenders and tackling the embedded finance opportunity. Sitting at the intersection of financial data, lending workflows, and infrastructure design, you will be expected to shape and develop a new suite of products for this vertical.

You’ll be responsible for defining the vision, structure, and execution approach for how Lean can enable lenders and fintechs to make better credit decisions using open banking data. You’ll work closely with the executive, product, commercial and engineering leadership to test, learn, and scale products that can define a new standard for data-driven lending in the region.

This is an early leadership role in a product line that will grow significantly. It’s well suited to someone who thrives on ambiguity, can set direction amid change, and enjoys building systems that connect deep technical infrastructure to tangible business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the product vision and strategy for Lean Lend, ensuring alignment with Lean’s broader Open Finance roadmap

  • Drive the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery to launch and scaling

  • Partner with engineering, data, and design leads to deliver high-quality, scalable, and compliant credit data products

  • Collaborate with the executive and commercial leadership to translate strategic objectives into actionable product outcomes

  • Deeply understand market trends in credit, lending, and open banking to identify new opportunities for growth and differentiation.

  • Establish a data-informed culture, defining key product metrics and using insights to guide prioritization and optimization.

  • Build and mentor a high-performing product organization, fostering accountability, clarity, and innovation

  • Represent Lean Lend externally with clients, partners, regulators, and industry forums as a thought leader in credit and open banking data infrastructure.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven track record leading product teams in fintech, lending, or data infrastructure companies, ideally with experience in credit decisioning or open banking

  • Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of lending workflows, risk assessment models, and data connectivity products

  • Demonstrated ability to scale B2B product lines from early product-market fit to maturity.

  • Deep empathy for developers, lenders, and end-users, with a focus on building elegant, API-first, and data-rich products

  • Strong analytical and commercial instincts, able to connect product strategy to business performance

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment

  • Experience working in high-growth fintechs or regulated financial environments in the Middle East is a strong plus.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Product, Engineering, Economics, or similar).

NB. While we think the above experience could be important, we’re keen to hear from people that believe they have valuable experience to bring to the role. If you identify with the team and mission, but not all of our requirements, then please still apply!!
