This is a full-time hybrid role for a Cloud and IT Administrator at MidChains in UAE, with flexibility for remote work. Cloud and IT Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure while also providing essential IT support services, ensuring smooth operations across the organization. Your responsibilities will span cloud administration, end-user support, and system management, making you a vital part of our technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities:
Cloud Administration
- Manage, monitor, and optimize cloud environments (AWS & Azure) for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, ensuring compliance and safeguarding data.
- Monitor cloud usage, control costs, and suggest improvements to optimize resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related technical issues.
IT Support and User Services
- Set up and configure laptops, desktops, and mobile devices for new and existing employees.
- Provide end-user support for hardware, software, and connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage email account creation, configuration, and troubleshooting across platforms - Microsoft 365.
- Educate and assist users on IT systems, tools, and best practices to enhance productivity.
Cross-Company IT Services Administration
- Administer cross-company IT services, including email platforms, collaboration tools, and file-sharing systems.
- Monitor and maintain system integrations to ensure seamless workflow across departments.
- Regularly review and optimize IT services to align with organizational needs and scalability.
System Maintenance and Backups
- Oversee and execute regular backups to protect data and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Maintain IT systems, keeping them up-to-date, secure, and efficient.
- Document processes, configurations, and system changes to ensure knowledge continuity.
Collaboration and Communication
- Partner with internal teams to align IT solutions with business objectives.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cross-department IT service requests and concerns.
- Interest in security and a thoughtful and thorough consideration of the security implications of development decisions
- Experience in fundamental networking concepts with deploying WAN connectivity and data center networks.
- Responsible for implementing and supporting the network infrastructure based on defined standards.
- Create and maintain network documentation and diagrams
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cloud platform administration (AWS, Azure preferably), IT support, and managing organizational IT services.
- Proficiency in cloud tools, scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell), and IT systems like email administration (Microsoft 365) and device management.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, Microsoft Azure Administrator are desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills. A customer-focused mindset is essential.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of backup/recovery systems, endpoint management, IT service administration, and system integration.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
