Role:
Responsible for execution of day-to-day operational Customer due diligence related activities by ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standards in line with regulations and internal guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Undertaking client due diligence checks for existing customer (periodic and trigger reviews)
- Review and validate KYC documents required as per procedures.
- Determining the level of due diligence required to comply with Anti-Money Laundering Regulations
- Identify ultimate controllers and controlling parties. Able to handle complex ownership structure
- Perform screening for PEP, sanctions, adverse media and analysis of the results to eliminate or confirm matches.
- Using databases, external and internal, and conducting research as part of this due diligence.
- Risk profile the customers using defined methodology.
- Identification and escalation of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs)
- Identification and escalation of any adverse reports
- Completion of enhanced due diligence requirement for clients
- Maintain relationships with stakeholders to ensure the timely completion of the onboarding process.
- Produce daily, weekly and monthly MI for senior management showing key statistics
Skill Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Compliance / onboarding in banking / financial services
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Knowledge of UAE regulations, international standards, and best practices such as FATF
- Ability to balance between compliance and business needs
- Good analytical / review / assessment skills of compliance and related IT systems
