The Role:
The Head of Business Development’s primary responsibility is to establish and lead the Business Development and Sales functions of the Saudi Arabia operation. A major function of this role is taking charge of building the proper relationships with potential clients and moving them through the sales funnel to the point of signing and onboarding with Nymcard. It is also important that this individual has a relationship with partnering banks and industry partners. The role leads all business development activities within the fintech ecosystem in the country.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the commercial strategy for Saudi Arabia
- Identify potential clients and partners to grow our business in the market
- Establish strong relationships and have continuous updates on new market dynamics & players
- Take the lead on Business Development and Sales within the country to achieve our annual budgets
- Build strong relationships with Saudi Arabian banks and international financial institutions operating in the country
- Move prospects through the sales funnel
- Understand client expectations and communicate these to the broader team
- Work closely with the customer success and onboarding teams to ensure Saudi Arabian clients remain engaged with Nymcard and increase their volumes
- Attend events, conferences and seminars related to the banking and fintech industry to create a strong network within the industry
Skills and Qualifications:
- Existing relationships within the payments, banking and fintech ecosystems in Saudi Arabia
- Knows the banking system in the country and is well connected to senior stakeholders within it
- Demonstrated ability to work with and influence C-Suite professionals
- Experience of hitting challenging sales and business development targets and managing complex P&L’s

- Ability to learn new technology/systems/applications quickly
- Rock solid business ethics and the desire to build a high performance, fun and supportive culture
- Considerable experience in the banking, payments or fintech sectors in Saudi Arabia
- Connected to senior banking professionals within the country
- First class knowledge of the fintech ecosystem in Saudi Arabia
- Proven success in a sales or commercial role
- People management experience
- Fluent English written and verbal communication. Arabic is a plus
- Analytical mindset and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
