The Role
We’re hiring a hands-on Group Chief Accountant to oversee accounting operations, lead a team of Group Lead Accountants, and transform our finance systems through automation and digitization. You will act as the primary point of contact for auditors, advisors, and senior finance leadership, with full ownership over financial governance, reporting accuracy, and compliance across jurisdictions.
What you will do
Group-Level Financial Management
• Oversee all core accounting operations: A/R, A/P, GL, inventory, and revenue recognition
• Lead and align Group Lead Accountants across NymCard’s legal entities
• Ensure consistent application of accounting standards and internal policies
• Coordinate budgets, forecasts, and management reporting with FP&A
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements
• Ensure regulatory compliance across jurisdictions
Process Improvement & Automation
• Transform manual processes into scalable, automated workflows
• Identify and implement accounting best practices
• Collaborate with Data, Tech, Product, and Ops to build integrated, API-first solutions
• Adopt AI tools for reconciliation, reporting, and transaction processing
Audit, Controls & Compliance
• Serve as the primary contact for external auditors and advisors
• Lead audit readiness and deliver timely, clean audits
• Maintain internal control frameworks and ensure IFRS/local compliance
• Define and enforce accounting policies and risk mitigation procedures
Team Leadership & Development
• Manage and mentor accounting team members across entities
• Drive a performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
• Define KPIs, assess team performance, and lead development plans
• Implement training programs to enhance team capability and efficiency
What You’ll Bring
• 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance, with 3+ years in a group-level leadership role
• CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent qualification
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, audit management, and financial reporting in multi-entity environments
• Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services is a strong advantage
• Skilled in ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
• Strong interest in automation, digital transformation, and AI in finance
• Confident communicator able to engage with senior leadership, auditors, and regulators
