We power possibilities for our customers and each other by bringing the best talent together to do the best quality work we can.

The Role

We are hiring a QA Engineer focused on manual testing to own test strategy and execution for card and payment journeys across web, mobile, and APIs. You will turn requirements into clear scenarios, data, and acceptance checks, prioritise with risk based testing, and keep a lean, reliable regression that protects core flows. You will lead UAT readiness, run smoke and sanity checks around releases, and keep evidence inspection ready for audits and scheme reviews.

You will partner daily with Product, Engineering, Implementation, and Operations. You will challenge ambiguous requirements, close gaps in acceptance criteria, and log precise, reproducible defects that developers can act on quickly. You will manage test data and environments including certification and sandbox dependencies, and you will publish simple quality metrics so risk and progress are always visible. Success looks like stable releases, lower defect leakage, and predictable handovers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Test planning and coverage: create test plans and cases for functional, system, integration, exploratory, and regression testing.
  • API checks: use Postman or SoapUI to verify requests, responses, and error handling. Confirm backend effects with SQL basics.
  • Data and environments: prepare test data, manage sandbox and certification environments, coordinate stubs or mocks when needed.
  • Mobile application testing: Test the applications on iOS and Android devices, Emulators.
  • Defect management: log reproducible issues in Jira with steps, evidence, severity and priority. Drive triage and verify fixes to closure.
  • UAT and release readiness: define entry and exit criteria, support UAT execution, run smoke and sanity checks pre and post release, record sign offs.
  • Documentation and traceability: maintain checklists, test summaries, and a requirement to test to result traceability matrix. Keep artefacts inspection ready.
  • Quality metrics: track pass rates, defect leakage, and re-open counts. Share simple weekly reports with owners and dates.
  • Collaboration: work daily with Product, Engineering, QA peers, and Implementation to align scope, data, and timelines.
  • Continuous improvement: prune flaky cases, tighten test data sets, and standardise reusable checklists.

What You Bring

  • Experience: 4 to 6 years in manual QA for fintech, payments, or high scale SaaS with multiple production releases.
  • Test design mastery: boundary value, equivalence partitioning, state transition, risk based planning, and a tidy traceability matrix from requirement to result.
  • API testing: hands on with Postman or SoapUI. You validate side effects with SQL basics and know how to isolate errors and edge cases.
  • Data and environments: you craft realistic test data sets, manage sandboxes and certification flows, and use mocks or stubs when dependencies block testing.
  • Defect hygiene: crisp steps to reproduce, logs and headers where needed, correct severity and priority, tight retest and closure.
  • Collaboration: clear, concise status updates, ability to push back on unclear scope, and early escalation with options and impacts.
  • Evidence discipline: checklists, summaries, and versioned artefacts that are audit ready.
  • Tooling: Jira, Confluence, and a test case manager such as TestRail or Zephyr. Comfortable with basic Linux and reading service logs.

Bonus Points

  • Hybrid working model: In-office collaboration for design reviews, workshops, and team days, with flexible remote time for deep work. Clear expectations on core hours and availability.
  • Ownership and growth: Small teams and direct access to decision makers. End-to-end responsibility for your area, support for certifications and learning, and progression based on outcomes.
  • Cross-border exposure: Work with clients and partners across MENA and beyond. Gain hands-on experience with schemes, banks, and regulators, and broaden your domain expertise.
  • Real product and business impact: Build for a live issuing platform used by fintechs. See measurable results on performance and revenue within weeks, and celebrate wins backed by data.
