The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Paralegal to join our Legal & Compliance team at Onex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage process of reviewing NDAs, non-reliance letters and other counterparty contracts.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating the firm’s Restricted List.
  • Assist with filings and reporting obligations (e.g., BEA, AIFMD, Form ADV, Form PF, CFTC/NFA filings).
  • Assist with the management of entities across multiple jurisdictions, to include formation and dissolution of entities and maintain various lists and documents relating to directors and officers (including using and updating Onex’ GEMS system).
  • Maintain files relating to entities (including certificates of formation, LPA’s, PPM’s, LLC Agreements, Registers of Members, etc.)
  • Creation and ongoing review of structure charts (using MS PowerPoint).
  • Assist with ongoing review of firm marketing materials.
  • Maintaining up to date documentation for various compliance actions (e.g., compliance exceptions log and expert network monitoring log).
  • Assist on legal transactional and contractual matters, including maintaining accurate records of active vendor contracts.
  • Assist in gathering documents for annual compliance review.
  • Work on other ad hoc projects and monitoring activities.
  • Assist with reviewing AML/KYC materials.
  • Assist with managing conflicts across the Onex platform.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or significant professional experience in a relevant field required.
  • Excellent research, written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
