THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented individual to join our Enterprise Technology group as an Application Administrator on the Corporate Technology team, based in Toronto. Reporting to the Manger, Corporate Technology, this role will provide support for our finance applications and Corporate Finance team. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with 5+ years experience in supporting technology for finance applications.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Analyze incidents and provide level 1 and level 2 support to the users. Where incidents are complex, liaise with the senior team member or vendor support to identify issue resolution and document the root cause and actions taken
- Be fully responsible for problem management activities such as issue resolution and root cause analysis
- Provide day to day application administration support to various stakeholder groups while collecting necessary approvals and audit artifacts
- Create and maintain the data on financial platforms and ensure the data mapping is accurate across all connecting systems.
- Adhere to change management process, including system updates, maintenance and software deployment, while ensuring adherence to audit and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate across multiple IT/Business units and teams, projects and programs.
- Execute appropriate testing to support audit requirements and integrity of the financial systems
- Follow Quality Assurance guidelines, ensuring all sign-off criteria are met at the release time.
- Work with business stakeholders and product owners to demonstrate and review changes to the systems to ensure all relevant business needs and functions are addressed as expected.
- Execute rollout plans, deployment tasks and activities on the planned release dates.
- Participate in continuous improvement of best practices, methodology and tools for the software development and solution delivery process.
- Plan and coordinate testing changes, upgrades, and new services, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments
- Maintain system documentation for all key functions of the applications
- Identify automation opportunities and work with other team members to drive efficiency in operations
- Work with the broader technology team to schedule upgrades for finance systems
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Experienced administrator of Finance applications, supporting both production and project activities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and management
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies to design
- Demonstrated ability to stay current with emerging financial and IT technologies and provide innovative solutions that align with business goals
- Strong knowledge in security and privacy governance is required
- Proficient with core finance application, Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Proficient in PowerBI and financial reporting
- Experience with finance applications OneStream and Coupa nice to have
- Familiarity with relevant technologies including but not limited to:
- SQL, VB.net, .Net Framework
- Python, Azure function apps
- APIs, microservices, DevOps
- SFTP, SSH auth, PGP encryption
