Job Summary
As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall cost control activities. You will work closely with the finance team, F&B Department and other departments to ensure that all business operations are cost-effective and in line with the company's budget. Your main goal will be to maximize profits and minimize expenses while maintaining the highest level of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cost control policies and procedures.
- Reviewing department requests, store requests, along with forecasted consumptions and maintaining stock level with needed minimum and maximum stock level.
- Issuing Daily flash cost report, and month end food & beverage reconciliation.
- Monitor and analyze financial data, Menu Engineering to identify areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Review and approve all invoices and expenses to ensure accuracy and adherence to budget.
- Conduct regular audits and market survey to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets for their respective areas.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and present them to management.
- Provide guidance and support to department heads in managing their budgets and identifying cost-saving measures.
- Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and provide input on cost projections.
- Identify and investigate any variances in budgeted vs. actual costs and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices in cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, as F&B Cost Controller.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost control techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with financial software, such as SAP, is a plus.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
