About The Job

As a QHSE Officer, you will ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards across our NEOM catering operations. Your role includes conducting inspections, supporting risk assessments, monitoring food safety practices, and promoting a strong safety culture among staff. You will be the first point of contact for QHSE issues, providing real-time support to ensure operational compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily operations align with company QHSE standards, ISO certifications, and local regulations through regular inspections and compliance checks.
  • Assist in conducting comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards in food handling and kitchen operations, and implement effective control measures.
  • Report and investigate incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances, supporting root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  • Help develop and deliver QHSE training sessions to ensure all staff are knowledgeable about safety, hygiene, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, and compliance audits, preparing detailed reports on QHSE performance for management.
  • Assist in preparations for internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation is ready and following up on non-conformance findings for timely resolution.
  • Actively engage with staff to promote a culture of safety and quality, addressing any concerns or issues related to QHSE practices.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or Food Safety.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or HACCP certifications are essential, along with knowledge of ISO standards (9001, 14001, 22000).
  • 2-4 years in QHSE roles, particularly in food safety, occupational health, or environmental management, ideally within the catering or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of QHSE principles, risk assessment capabilities, and experience in incident reporting and compliance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with QHSE management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
