Responsibilities
- Support the design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure systems, including on-premises servers, Storages, networks and cloud services.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation of infrastructure components meeting departmental service levels.
- Manage and configure firewalls, switches, and routers to maintain network security and efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure needs and challenges.
- Assist in planning and executing infrastructure upgrades and migrations with minimal disruption to services.
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and other departments/Projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend improvements to infrastructure systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in supporting infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Must be a Bahraini citizen.
Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of server and network configurations, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions.
- Networking Skills: Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and experience with firewalls, VPNs, and network security.
- Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and experience in managing cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring and Diagnostic Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds) to ensure uptime and performance.
- Scripting and Automation: Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve infrastructure-related issues efficiently.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to create and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes.
