Alzayani Investments is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Engineer (Bahraini Candidate) to join our team in Manama, Bahrain. This is a full-time position offering a unique opportunity to contribute to the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities.

Responsibilities

Maintenance and Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and procedures to maximize system uptime and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and system failures in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance, repairs, and installations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.

Project Management

  • Manage small to medium-scale facilities projects, including renovations, upgrades, and new installations.
  • Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines, and track progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.

Administrative Tasks

  • Prepare and process requests for quotations (RFQs) from vendors for maintenance services, repairs, and equipment.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes for cost-effectiveness and technical compliance.
  • Assist in the procurement process for facility-related goods and services.
  • Maintain organized records of vendor contracts, quotations, and purchase orders.
  • Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for facility operations and projects.
  • Prepare routine administrative reports as required.

Energy Management And Sustainability

  • Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve environmental sustainability.
  • Monitor energy consumption and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay updated on current energy efficiency technologies and best practices.

Safety And Compliance

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures and protocols related to facility operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Respond to and manage facility-related emergencies.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and project documentation.
  • Prepare regular reports on facility performance, energy consumption, and project status.
  • Develop and update building system drawings and documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in facilities engineering or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and mechanical systems.
  • Proven experience in managing facilities maintenance programs and projects.
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including experience with preparing quotations and managing vendor communication.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is a plus.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CFM, P.E.) are a plus.
