The Government Relations Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the company and governmental entities, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and advancing organizational objectives.
This role involves strategic advocacy, relationship management, and overseeing compliance to drive business growth in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advocacy & Representation
Act as the company’s spokesperson in high-level governmental discussions, industry forums, and legislative consultations to effectively communicate corporate positions.
Represent the organization before key governmental bodies, including ministries and regulatory authorities (e.g., Ministry of Municipality, Commerce, Labor, Transportation).
Collaborate with authorities to shape government legislations and policies impacting the company’s operations.
Compliance & Licensing
Secure critical licenses and permits for construction, excavation, and business operations (e.g., store licenses, FDA approvals).
Monitor and update company policies to reflect amendments in regulations, terms, and compliance requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong partnerships with ministries, agencies, and industry stakeholders to resolve regulatory challenges.
Engage stakeholders to enhance brand awareness and facilitate business development opportunities.
Digital Government Affairs Management
Oversee digital platforms such as GOSI, Moqeem, Ministry of Labor, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs systems.
Supervise the government correspondence system, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
Operational Excellence
Deliver projects within budget and timeframe targets while adhering to regulatory standards.
Document procedures, policies, and decisions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or regulatory compliance.
Proven expertise in Saudi Arabia’s regulatory environment and Vision 2030 initiatives.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience in construction, real estate, or large-scale project sectors.
Certification in public policy, government relations, or compliance.
