We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant, the ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and supporting key financial operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
  • Post journal entries and reconcile general ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights on company performance.
  • Process employee payroll, benefits, and tax deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
  • Manage invoices, payments, and collections.
  • Reconcile vendor and customer accounts.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate tax, VAT, NSSF, and others.
  • Stay updated on tax laws and ensure ongoing company compliance.
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls.
  • Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and financial reporting standards.
  • Submit required financial reports to management and regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and payroll systems.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
