๐ Quality Assurance Oversight
- Supervise daily QA operations including in-process and final inspections of castings.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Implement and maintain inspection procedures for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
๐ Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor product quality and identify recurring issues or non-conformities.
- Generate and analyze quality performance metrics such as defect rates, rejection trends, and audit findings.
- Prepare daily and monthly QA reports for management.
๐ Documentation & Standards
- Maintain QA documentation including inspection reports, calibration records, and control plans.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
- Assist in internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions.
๐ฅ Team Supervision & Training
- Lead and guide a team of quality inspectors and technicians.
- Provide technical training on inspection methods, tools, and quality standards.
- Conduct periodic performance evaluations and coaching.
๐ Process Improvement & Root Cause Analysis
- Support cross-functional teams in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
- Participate in customer complaint investigations and response coordination.
๐ค Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with production, maintenance, and engineering departments to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate quality concerns and best practices across teams.
- Support new product development and validation activities from a QA perspective.
๐ Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a foundry or metal casting industry.
- Strong understanding of steel and iron casting processes and defect analysis.
- Familiarity with inspection tools (CMM, gauges, NDT methods) and quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting tolerances.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram) and lean quality techniques.
