Main Purpose Of Job

The role involves gathering client requirements, preparing underwriting submissions, engaging with insurers, obtaining competitive quotations, analyzing options through detailed comparison reports, and providing technical recommendations to ensure optimal client outcomes.

Direct reporting to: Operations Manager

Brief Description Of Job Function

  • Receive and understand insurance requirements from corporate clients.
  • Prepare detailed underwriting information and complete application/proposal forms as required.
  • Draft and issue professional Request for Quotations (RFQs) to local and international insurers.
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations, ensuring comprehensive coverage terms, conditions, limits, and pricing.
  • Prepare Quotation Comparison Reports (QCRs) with clear evaluation and analysis of received offers.
  • Provide technical recommendations to internal teams or directly to clients based on QCR analysis and alignment with client requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance market trends, products, and underwriting guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Account Executives, Sales, and Client Servicing teams to support business development and client retention.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all placement documentation and maintain strong record-keeping.
  • Support the negotiation of terms and conditions with insurers, including special clauses and endorsements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, market regulations, and industry standards.

Essential Qualification Required (education/ Experience/ Skills)

  • Minimum Qualification: Cert CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) or equivalent insurance qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the placement of corporate insurance, including medical and commercial lines (property, engineering, liability, financial lines, marine, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, underwriting principles, and placement processes.
  • Experience working with multiple insurers, including local and regional markets.
  • Excellent understanding of policy wordings, coverages, exclusions, and technical insurance documentation.

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong analytical and comparison skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficient in preparing professional reports and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Client-focused with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word).
