We are currently seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to lead our Agriculture & Palm division.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational management, and financial performance of our agricultural and palm cultivation operations. The successful candidate will drive growth, efficiency, and innovation, ensuring the division aligns with Our commitment to excellence and staying at the forefront of market developments.
Responsibilities
• Develop and execute long-term business strategies for the Agriculture & Palm division to achieve growth targets and enhance market position.
• Oversee all day-to-day operations, including crop management, harvesting, processing, logistics, and quality control, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Manage the division's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, to ensure profitability and sustainable financial health.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Analyse contemporary market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
• Implement advanced agricultural technologies and sustainable farming practices to improve yield, reduce costs, and promote environmental stewardship.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government bodies, suppliers, customers, and industry partners.
• Ensure all operations comply with local and international agricultural standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is highly preferred.
• Extensive and proven experience in a senior management position within the large-scale agriculture sector, with specific expertise in palm cultivation and plantation management.
• A strong track record of managing P&L, driving business growth, and delivering on strategic objectives.
• Demonstrable experience in operational management, supply chain logistics, and resource planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
• In-depth knowledge of modern agricultural practices, market dynamics, and the latest industry technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic mindset.
• Previous experience working in the Middle East is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic would be a significant asset.
