Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Investigate and report on all incidents, near misses, and safety violations.
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training programs for employees.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable safety standards.
Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports for internal and regulatory review.
Collaborate with management and supervisors to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management or similar role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental regulations, and risk management principles.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Certification preferred: CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30-hour (or ability to obtain).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
