Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Java Developer to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation on a fully remote, full-time basis. You will play a crucial role in the entire development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment of sophisticated software solutions.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Java code.
* Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
* Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code in accordance with company standards.
* Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications.
* Collaborate with a cross-functional team to define, design, and ship new features.
* Identify and correct bottlenecks, and troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
* Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.
* Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies.
Qualifications
* Proven professional experience in software development with a strong focus on Java.
* Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
* Hands-on experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms or modern frameworks like Spring Boot.
* Excellent knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (e.g., Hibernate).
* Familiarity with build automation tools such as Maven or Gradle.
* Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
* Proficient in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team setting.
* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.
