Job Title: Area Manager – Specialty Coffee

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Area Manager to oversee the operations of multiple specialty coffee outlets across Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing multi-unit coffee shop operations, driving business performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining brand standards, developing high-performing teams, and achieving sales and profitability targets across all assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of multiple specialty coffee outlets within the assigned region.
  • Drive sales growth, profitability, and operational efficiency across all stores.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and outlet teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards, customer service excellence, and product quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare performance reports, and implement improvement plans.
  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate operations, customer experience, and compliance with company standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, HR, and Training teams to support business initiatives.
  • Oversee staffing, employee development, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, health & safety, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Support new store openings, renovations, and operational improvement projects.
  • Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in multi-unit operations within the specialty coffee, café, or food & beverage industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Area Manager, District Manager, or Regional Manager.
  • Experience with premium coffee brands or specialty café concepts is highly preferred.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales, operational, and financial targets.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and operational KPIs.
  • Fluency in English is required; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Experience in the Saudi Arabian or GCC market is highly preferred.

We are looking for professionals with multi-unit management experience from specialty coffee brands, premium café chains, or established food & beverage companies. Candidates from brands such as Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Dunkin', Tim Hortons, Caribou Coffee, Half Million, Barn's Coffee, Address Coffee, Dose Café, EL&N, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, or similar specialty coffee concepts will be highly preferred. Those with a strong record of leading multiple outlets, improving operational performance, and driving business growth in the Saudi market will have a distinct advantage.
