We are seeking a professional and reliable Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join our team on a Part-Time basis in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. The successful candidate will be a key representative of our prestigious brand, responsible for the safe, secure, and timely delivery of our unique, high-value stone creations to our esteemed clients. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of quality and service for which Ian Knapper is known.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, transport, and unload heavy and delicate bespoke stone products, ensuring they are handled with the utmost care and precision.
- Secure all items meticulously within the delivery vehicle to prevent any damage during transit.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely and professional service.
- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the company vehicle to reflect our professional standards.
- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner during deliveries, providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the workshop and logistics team regarding delivery status.
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- A valid driver's licence and a clean driving record are essential.
- Demonstrable experience in a professional delivery or transport role, preferably handling fragile or high-value goods.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving heavy, often awkward, items, with appropriate support and equipment provided.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to safe handling procedures.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A professional demeanour and excellent communication skills.
- A reliable, punctual, and conscientious work ethic.
- Good knowledge of the Pittsburgh area and surrounding delivery routes is highly advantageous.
