About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Equity Strategist to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a critical role in analyzing market trends, evaluating investment opportunities, and developing strategic recommendations to optimize portfolio performance. Reporting to the Chief Equity Strategist, the Equity Strategist will leverage own expertise in equity research and financial analysis to contribute to the firm's overall investment strategy.
What You'll Do
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of equity markets, sectors, and individual securities to identify investment opportunities and risks.
- Develop and maintain quantitative/financial models and frameworks for evaluating equity investments, incorporating factors such as valuation, growth potential, and risk-adjusted returns.
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, geopolitical developments, and regulatory changes to assess their impact on equity markets and investment strategies.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations, market insights, and performance updates to internal stakeholders, including senior management and investment committee members.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, market trends, and emerging technologies in equity research and investment management, continuously enhancing the firm's analytical capabilities.
- Build and maintain relationships with external research providers, industry experts, and institutional clients to gather insights and exchange investment ideas.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; advanced degree/certificate (e.g. CFA, MBA, FMVA) preferred.
5-7 years of experience in equity research, investment analysis, or asset management, or investment banking.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
Deep understanding of equity markets, valuation methodologies, and investment strategies, with a proven track record of generating alpha.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and investment insights to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
