Thndr was founded with the dream to democratize access to investing through smart tech and human design, which is just a fancy way of saying giving anyone with a smartphone easy access to preserve and grow their wealth. At the same time, we’re promoting local investment products to propel the economies that we serve

History has shown that investing is the single greatest way to build long term wealth - but before Thndr, only a very small percentage of people had access to investing due to:
  • High barriers to entry - In the form of minimum account balances, brick and mortar onboarding and low financial literacy.
  • Irrelevant experience - Catered towards traders and financial experts, therefore alienating the majority of the population.
  • Fragmented offering - Investment products are not gathered in a single outlet.
On our short journey we’ve validated that there is a need for our solution, as illustrated by these key figures:
  • 3 million app downloads
  • $8.8bn in annualized traded value
  • #1 platform in terms of traded value
  • 84% of our users are investing for the first time
  • 65% of our users come from outside of capital cities and have previously had limited access to financial institutions

Role in A Nutshell

We are looking for an individual to fully own our new users journey from a Product lens. This role will directly report to the head of product. Ideally the candidate would have extensive experience working in the product function of a regional B2C startup and understands the cultural nuances. You are expected to be able to evaluate opportunities and prioritize the use of
the company’s resources to deliver a positive business outcome for our new users. At a minimum, you will own the following metrics:

  • Number of acquisitions

  • CAC Payback period

  • Conversion (sign up -> acquisition)

What You'll Do

  • Use analytics tools to track user behavior, conversion rates, and key performance metrics.
  • Plan and conduct A/B tests to optimize user experience and conversion funnels.
  • Iterate on features & designs based on test results to drive growth.
  • Conducting user interviews, surveys, or usability studies to gather insights for product improvements.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and recommending strategies to address them.
  • Embracing an iterative approach to product development by continually testing, learning, and iterating based on data-driven insights.
  • Set the strategic direction of your product branch which aligns with user needs, business growth, and overall technology strategy.
  • Own and drive the whole product lifecycle from problem identification, design, development, launch and assessment.
  • Define product requirements and roadmaps including things as time, cost, impact and priority.
  • Work cross-functionally with the Engineering, Design, Operations and Marketing teams.
  • Drive scalable processes and innovation around the product development cycle.
  • Own your designated KPIs and set ambitious, yet realistic targets.
  • Always solve for the simplest and fastest solution to any given issue/opportunity.
  • Successfully balance between the long term goals and quick wins.
  • Collaborate across teams to communicate product strategies with internal stakeholders and adjust priorities according to feedback.
  • Participate in the design of a secure product.
