About the Role
We’re looking for a People Experience & Operations Manager to build a smooth, reliable, and scalable People function across our region.
You will report to our Head of People and own the full employee journey from onboarding to offboarding, while also running payroll, compliance, systems, and day-to-day employee support. Your work will shape how employees experience Thndr and will remove friction for managers and teams.

What You’ll Do
1. Build and run a unified People Ops system
Design, document, and maintain clear workflows for onboarding, offboarding, payroll, lifecycle changes, and compliance across Egypt, UAE, and KSA.
Create one simple, consistent process that everyone understands and can rely on.
2. Deliver payroll with high accuracy and full compliance
Own monthly payroll inputs and audits for all countries.
Keep monthly variance below 2% and ensure all submissions are correct and on time.
Partner with Finance to keep processes clean and predictable.
3. Design a strong People Experience across the employee lifecycle
Redesign onboarding so it’s structured, automated, and supportive, with 90%+ Day-30 satisfaction scores.
Improve offboarding to ensure smooth transitions and proper documentation.
Strengthen touchpoints like probation, anniversaries, role changes, and manager guidance.
4. Lead automation and process improvements
Identify manual or unclear steps and turn them into automated workflows.
Launch at least three meaningful automations per quarter (contracts, onboarding tasks, IT access, reminders, data flows).
Work closely with Legal, IT, and Finance to remove friction.
5. Maintain accurate and reliable data
Run monthly audits to reach and sustain 98%+ accuracy across HRIS, payroll, and finance systems.
Ensure employee documentation, contracts, and records are clean and updated.
6. Manage compliance across Egypt, UAE, and KSA
Handle all labor-law submissions and filings, including social insurance forms in Egypt (1, 2, 6).
Keep regional compliance on track and well-documented.
Work with Legal to validate requirements and timelines.
7. Support employees and managers with clarity
Answer questions on policies, payroll, benefits, and procedures.
Provide simple guidance, reduce confusion, and keep communication consistent and timely.
What You’ll Need
• 5+ years of experience in People Operations or similar roles in fast-paced or high-growth environments.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian labor law and payroll compliance.
• Proven track record owning onboarding and offboarding end-to-end.
• Strong systems and workflow thinking with an appetite for fixing and simplifying processes.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS or automation tools (Ashby, Personio, BambooHR, or similar).
• High attention to detail, ownership, and follow-through.
• Comfort working independently and handling multiple countries.
• Experience with UAE/KSA regulations is a plus.
