Job functions of a Team Lead - Operations in India:
- Process Optimization: Analyse existing operational processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to operational teams, including setting clear goals, objectives, and performance expectations. Motivate and inspire team members to achieve targets and deliver high-quality results
- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to support operational objectives and meet business demands
- Project Coordination: Coordinate and manage projects to ensure timely completion and successful outcomes. Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary
- Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality control standards to maintain product or service quality. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify deviations and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyse operational data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Generate reports and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts, manage deliveries, and maintain positive relationships. Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and aiding as needed. Implement strategies to improve service levels and exceed customer expectations
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies. Stay updated on relevant regulations and implement necessary changes to ensure adherence.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the organization by encouraging innovation, experimentation, and learning. Engage stakeholders at all levels to solicit feedback and drive positive change.
Requirements for Team Lead - Operations jobs in India
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in operations management or a similar role, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in progressively responsible positions.
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with experience in planning, organizing, and executing projects.
