Description
The role of the Global Head of Financial Ops is a pivotal position within XBTO. The person is responsible for managing day-to-day cash and crypto movements across banks, crypto wallets, and exchanges and optimizing all middle office functions across various crypto-related activities (DMM, OTC, Streaming, etc). This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in financial services, accounting and a comprehensive understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the crypto space.
Responsibilities
1. Liquidity management
- Process and monitor daily cash and crypto transactions across banks and crypto exchanges for Proprietary Trading, Market Making, Operations, and XBTO Funds. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls. Ensure company funds are adequately and securely deployed for all XBTOG entities (and related entities).
- Liquidity trading/management: ensure chainlink nodes are sufficiently funded to operate. Keep track of LINK rewards and supervise monetization when needed
- Oversee trading activity to identify liquidity needs and minimize liquidation risk.
2. Systems & processes
- Design and manage tools and processes to optimize collateral movements / minimize security risks.
- Work with finance to optimize systems and processes for internal and external financial reporting, including trading reconciliations and profit-and-loss reporting.
- Manage access, connectivity, and security of XBTO wallets & exchange accounts in conjunction with the cyber and engineering teams.
- Help develop the company's monitoring tools and dashboards
- Work with trading desks to anticipate future needs and ensure overall infrastructure adequacy for algo. trading.
- Monitor risk metrics and alerts to ensure trading compliance with predefined limits.
- Provide operational support to Stablehouse trading
3. Counterparty management
- Help manage relationships and maintain dialogue with exchanges to resolve problems and disseminate relevant exchange updates. Assist in onboarding new counterparties and service providers.
- Liaise with exchanges, token clients and traders to ensure DMM listings details are carefully prepared and processed.
- Coordinate the entire DMM process as per the procedure documented in the project management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Must have knowledge in cryptocurrency exchanges, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance.
- Strong understanding of financial products, particularly options and derivatives.
- Proficiency in using cryptocurrency trading platforms, wallets, and blockchain technology.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in treasury management, risk management, and compliance, preferably within the cryptocurrency or financial services industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
