Our client has been providing high quality, state of the art diagnostic imaging services for over forty years. Located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, the office conducts head, neck, abdominal, pelvic, thyroid, breast, extremity and scrotal sonograms. The ultrasonic equipment allows excellent evaluations with both transabdominal and transvaginal techniques. The office is also equipped with Color Flow Doppler capabilities for venous and arterial studies. The client is a community-based diagnostic radiology practice specializing in the widest range of imaging modalities using state of the art imaging equipment.
Work Schedule:
Mon-Fri 9-5
Essential Duties & Functions:
1. Performs Radiographic procedures of diagnostic quality as ordered by the referring physician and/or radiologist on patients of all ages according to established protocols and evaluates images for technical quality.
2. Obtains clinical history and data for correlation with the radiographic procedure.
3. Implements screening and safety measures in accordance with prescribed policies / procedures. Performs daily and weekly QC as required.
4. Coordinates patient care with other areas in order to optimize patient time and satisfaction.
5. Ensures that all records, files and reports are properly recorded asexam. required, performs clerical duties when necessary, verifies a signed physician order is received and corresponds with the billed procedure.
6. Maintains knowledge of the locations and operation of all emergency equipment in the unit.
7. Follows radiation safety policies and procedures.
