The Opportunity
We are primarily recruiting for a Full-Time Periodontist, but our client is open to considering a Part-Time arrangement for the right candidate. This role offers significant clinical autonomy, a consistent referral stream, and the chance to work alongside a supportive and highly skilled team. You'll have the opportunity to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of periodontal conditions, perform advanced surgical procedures, and place dental implants.
Responsibilities
As a Periodontist with our client, you will:
- Perform comprehensive periodontal examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
- Conduct a full scope of periodontal procedures, including:
- Non-surgical therapies (e.g., scaling and root planing, root surface debridement)
- Periodontal surgeries (e.g., gum grafts, pocket reductions, regenerative procedures)
- Dental implant placement and related procedures (e.g., bone grafting, sinus lifts)
- Collaborate effectively with general dentists and other specialists to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
- Stay current with the latest research, advancements, and technologies in periodontics through continuing education.
- Provide a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
Qualifications
Our client is looking for a Periodontist who possesses:
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental education program.
- Completion of an accredited Periodontics Residency program.
- Valid New York State dental license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Board certified or board eligible in Periodontics preferred.
