About the Role:
Trella is looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to power the top of our sales funnel. You'll be the first point of contact for new B2B customers — sourcing, prospecting, and qualifying leads across our four business units: Domestic, Ports, Dry Bulk, and Cross-Border. Your job is to build a healthy pipeline of net-new shippers and hand well-qualified opportunities to our Sales Executives to close. It's a high-energy, high-impact seat with a clear path to grow into a full-cycle sales role.
What You'll Do:
● Source and prospect net-new B2B accounts — enterprise shippers, manufacturers, and trading companies — through outbound calls, email, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, and industry research
● Qualify inbound and outbound leads against our target criteria and book meetings for the Sales team
● Understand each business unit's customer needs (Domestic, Ports, Dry Bulk, Cross-Border) and tailor your outreach accordingly
● Run high-volume, high-quality outreach and consistently hit weekly activity and qualified-pipeline targets
● Keep accurate, up-to-date records in our CRM and report on your pipeline and conversion metrics
● Work closely with Sales Executives to ensure a smooth handoff and a strong pipeline of net-new opportunities
● Learn the trucking and logistics landscape fast, and become a credible first voice of Trella to prospects
What You'll Need:
● 0–2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing role (internships count)
● Hunger and resilience — you're comfortable picking up the phone, hearing "no," and trying again
● Strong communication and relationship-building skills; you can hold a business conversation with confidence
● Highly organized and self-driven, able to manage a large volume of leads without dropping the ball
● Excellent communication skills in [Arabic/English as needed]
● Curiosity about freight, logistics, or supply chain — and eagerness to learn (industry experience is a plus, not a requirement)
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth, target-driven environment
