The AI Council (AIC) aims to establish a global platform for AI research, innovation, and collaboration in Central Asia. Rooted in Tajikistan’s national AI development strategy, the Council focuses on positioning the country as a leader in AI. We are seeking a Director of International Relations to lead the development and strengthening of strategic partnerships with global organizations, academic institutions, and industry leaders.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding the international presence of AIC, fostering relationships that drive innovation, and positioning the Council as a key player in the global AI ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement the Council’s international partnership strategy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with academic institutions, research organizations, government bodies, and multinational corporations.
• Represent the AI Council at international conferences, summits, and industry events to promote its mission and capabilities.
• Negotiate and secure agreements and partnerships aligned with the Council’s strategic goals.
• Identify funding and collaboration opportunities to support the Council’s research and educational initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align international initiatives with the Council’s objectives.
• Monitor global AI trends to identify growth and innovation opportunities for the Council.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in international relations, business development, or related fields, preferably in the tech or academic sector.
• Extensive network of contacts in global organizations, particularly in AI, technology, or education.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluency in English, Russian, and Tajik (additional languages are a plus).
• Strategic thinking with the ability to work with diverse stakeholders and deliver results.
• Passion for AI, innovation, and fostering international collaboration.
